Times have
changed and more virtual businesses are springing up across the country.
Actually, the company I work for has been a virtual company since 2008 and we
were actually discussing our new storefront property yesterday before seeing
this article from the Harvard Business Review suggesting that virtual employees
are actually better and more engaged. Why the world may still believe there is
stability in a company having a storefront, the article says that virtual
employees are more engaged and the leaders have better communication by
utilizing the tools available. Even bosses 50 ft away barely talk to each other
then by email. Virtual leaders talk more via phone, video conferencing and
instant messaging.
