As the
Olympics came to a close yesterday, there is no doubt Twitter’s involvement in
this summer’s games. New reports about Twitter and the Olympic success are
starting to surface which include Twitter engagement of more then 150 Million
tweets during the last 2 weeks. Jamaican’s Bolt scored the highest amount of
tweets with ore then 80K per minute during the 200 Meter run while his 100
Meter run came in second with 74K tweets per second. Interestingly enough the
most tweets didn’t come from an actual Olympic game. The closing ceremony’s
performance from the Spice Girls generated more then 116K tweets per minute.
