Facebook’s
CEO Mark Zuckerburg made his first appearance since their highly anticipated
but largely disappointing IPO in May. Zuckerburg started his interview by
praising the success of recently purchased Instagram which now has over 100
Million users and is the second most popular app globally. He went on to
discuss the failures of Facebook in the mobile realm saying the #1 issue
Facebook faced in mobile was their focus on building out HTML5 and not focusing
on native apps. Zuckerburg calmed Wall Street by mentioning Facebook’s efforts
of building a new mobile app that will wow users.
