Your Social Strategy

Increasingly prominent this past week was the many conversations about social strategies for businesses or radio stations. Among the conversation was how to measure success on Facebook while figuring out a strategy on Twitter. Today, I will leave you with a couple of small strategies when discussing your social strategy.
1)   Hiring a Social Media Manager
(Wearing many hats seems to be common but not giving your complete focus to your social strategy will hurt more then help. Also, don’t hire a kid that thinks he/she knows what they are talking about. Hire a professional.)
2)   Purchase a Monitoring System
(It’s not marketing unless you are monitoring. Use software like HootSuite Pro or SproutSocial to monitor your success. Don’t forget to utilize the powerful Google and Facebook Analytics)
3)   Develop a Long Term Plan
(The greatest casualty to a businesses social plan has been their “plan.” They believe their plan is to wing it instead of creating a quarterly plan and goal for promotions, conversations, messages and more. Develop your short and long term goals for social media)
