Facebook Targets Pregnant Women


A new report has surfaced regarding how Facebook is getting information on its users for targeted ads. Facebook Ads allow advertisers to select demographics based on age, sex, location, likes, dislikes and much more but one thing that’s not part of the ad targeting is pregnancy. So now some officials are going after Facebook for their vague explanation of how they are getting that information. Some say they have developed code using hashtag searches of Morning Sickness, Pregnancy Test and Ultrasound. Do you think it’s right for Facebook to be searching profiles for this information to target ads?
