The more I
talked to the many stations at Momentum, the more there was this overwhelming
feeling of managing digital solutions. Now stations that can’t afford to hire
more our adding more hats to the jobs of Program Directors, On-Air Talent and
other office staff. Without the expertise, the digital realm for most stations
is suffering and they can’t figure out how to stay on top of it. I believe this
can be resolved with finding the right people whether internally or hiring a
consultant to help give you the tools to stay on top of it. In some cases it
means developing a new solution that aggregates all the digital mediums
together like web, mobile and social. Focus is the biggest problem with many
station’s strategies so look to get help and create a plan, your station
depends on it.
