Sports Fans Turn to the Internet

Sports networks might have just as much competition than the reality or sitcom networks that have seen their ratings decrease thanks to on-demand Internet sites like Netflix and Hulu. New research shows that more than 26% of sports fans say they get most of their sports news and content from major sports websites instead of television. While television still owns the market-share on content with nearly 50% of people still watching live, Internet sport sites have seen an increase of more than 17%. Also, networks like ESPN3 which is Internet only and MLB Live allows you to watch live games from desktop and mobile devices adds to the huge increase in watching elsewhere.
