Google Surpasses Microsoft

Google officially has surpassed Microsoft as the 2nd most valuable company in the world. In 2010, Apple who currently holds the number 1 spot surpassed Microsoft who has held the honor for more than 10 years. Microsoft has seen its share dramatically decrease over the years in both mobile and desktop. The Apple iPhone is what increase sales to allow Apple to become the most valuable company in the world and now Android’s mobile and search advertising has helped it reach number 2. Some analysts do believe there is hope in Microsoft with Windows 8 being integrated into everything including mobile and XBOX.
