Gucci Ready to get Pinned


Gucci announced the latest innovation to their banner ads this week by allowing the consumer to pin images directly from banner ads. Gucci revealed a banner ad with a small “Pin It” button on the bottom left-hand corner. By clicking on “Pin It” it will bring up two images to share on Pinterest. A full size image of the ad and a product shot of the shoes featured in the ad. On Pinterest, both pins link directly to Gucci’s e-commerce site. Gucci believes by taking a significant push in the Pin-It world it will help drive e-commerce sales among their core demographic, middle-age woman.
